Who we are for: We See You

Three generations of men walking together outdoors, supporting each other.

Whether you’re caring for a parent, a child, or a patient — this is your place.

Caregiving rarely announces itself. One day you’re a daughter, a parent, a spouse, a friend — and the next, you’re also the one keeping someone else upright. You learn the medication schedule. You make the phone calls. You carry the worry to bed and pick it back up at dawn. And somewhere in all of it, the person who used to take care of you stops being asked how they’re doing.

We built Caring for Caregivers Alliance for you. Not for the abstract idea of a caregiver — for you, specifically. If any of the people below sound familiar, you already belong here.

The daughter holding it together

She didn’t plan to manage her mother’s dementia. It arrived in small losses — a missed appointment, a story repeated twice, a stove left on. Now she tracks it all: the doctors, the medications, the slow renegotiation of who her mother is becoming. She loves her mother fiercely, and some nights she grieves a woman who is still alive. You can love someone and be exhausted by what loving them now requires. Both are true.

The parent who never clocks out

His child has disabilities, and the caregiving has no end date — no point where the child grows up and the worry winds down. He has become an expert in systems he never wanted to learn: insurance appeals, IEP meetings, waitlists, benefit rules that punish a family for saving. He fights for his child’s future while quietly wondering who will fight for it when he no longer can. That question deserves real answers, not silence.

The aide working two jobs

She does this work for a living and still goes home to do it for free. As a home health aide, she shows up for strangers who become family, then clocks out and drives to a second job to make rent. The labor is intimate, skilled, and chronically undervalued. She is the backbone of a system that rarely sees her. We do.

And everyone in between

The husband learning to do the things his wife used to do. The grandson who moved back home. The friend who became next-of-kin because no one else stepped up. Caregiving wears a thousand faces, and most of them never call themselves caregivers at all. If you give more than you have left over, this is for you.

What we offer

Everything we do is built on four pillars — Mind for your wellbeing, Financial for the practical weight you carry, Growth for the skills and knowledge that make caregiving less lonely, and Belonging for the simple, rare experience of being among people who get it.

You spend your life showing up for others. Let us show up for you.
